Naxos + Paros | Greece

Naxos

Naxos was beautiful – the biggest island of the Cyclades. The town reminded me of a little Athens and was bustling with Greeks on a mini vacation to the islands.

The gate, ‘Portara’, which is thought to be the entrance to Apollo’s Temple is situated on a hill just outside of town and is beautiful to see at sunset.

There is also a beautiful castle if you venture into the little alleyways in Chora.

Naxos is a very barren island with beautiful blue water that is striking against the rocks.

Paros

Unfortunately I was a bit slack with taking photos in Paros but here is a bit of a taste of it.

The main town Naoussa is lovely to walk around in at night. It has fantastic shopping, restaurants and places for dessert!

And if you’re looking for food other than Greek food the little hidden gem BuonVento is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to (outside of Italy that is).
