How To Look Cool In Winter

Winter is just winding down in Melbourne but for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s just around the corner. So here are my tips to looking cool in Winter!

Layer, layer, layer

Laying jumpers over each other, like a turtleneck, means that you can wear some of your lighter jumpers all through the year. I also like to layer t-shirts over jumpers on the slightly warmer days to change up my look.

Don’t forgot colours still exist

Melbourne in Winter can look like a sea of black but don’t forget that colours still exist! Adding a brighter coloured jumper, skirt or jacket can make your outfit feel a bit more fun.

Hat it up

I love adding hats and beanies to my winter looks to add something different to my outfit. My favourite thing to do it pair a brighter coloured beanie with a black or neutral outfit for a ‘street’ look.

Fleece stockings

I love wearing skirts and dresses all year round and with a good pair of stockings you can still wear all of your favourite pieces. My number one pick are fleece-lined stockings. They are so warm you feel like you’re wearing pants!

Mix up the jackets

It’s easy to get stuck in a rut with that one warm black jacket you own. But try to mix it up a bit and bring in other season’s jackets. You might think it’s too cold to be wearing a thinner jacket but paired with a warm woollen jumper and a big scarf or cape, you’ll be toasty warm and super stylish.

Hopefully this gives all of you in the Northern Hemisphere going into Winter some ideas!
