I’m back with the first post of my holiday! I have escaped winter this year to spend a few months travelling around Europe. I will be studying and spending a lot of time in Italy, and then have some exciting destinations to share with you guys when I’m done!
So, first stop – the Amalfi Coast! I was lucky enough to spend a few days travelling the Coast and one of the towns I visited – or island more accurately – was Capri.
Capri is an absolutely gorgeous place to visit. After arriving at the port via ferry (only a 20 minute ride from Sorrento), a short 4 minute tram ride takes you up to the main town. There are so many designer stores lining the streets to look at, as well as a beautiful garden – the Garden of Augustus – to explore. Not to mention the restaurants scattered all over the town.
We were lucky enough to take a one hour boat ride around the whole island which was well worth it. We went through the famous archway and past Gennarino, the boy on the rock who waves at passersby. It was quite a cloudy morning but that didn’t stop us!
The sun came out midday and we were able to enjoy the beautiful beach at Marina Grande. The water was gorgeous and it was lovely to sit in the sun on the white pebbled beach.
If you are going to the Amalfi Coast, I highly recommend taking a trip to Capri!
Stay tuned for more travel photos very soon!

Amalfi is just beautiful. I can only imagine what a feast a landscape photographer would have being there. Thanks so much for sharing.

You might like to read “The Story of San Michele” by Axel Munthe, who lived on Capri for decades. The book was a 19th century best-seller and might be a bit old-fashioned for the modern reader.

I looked it up, it sounds very interesting I might have to add it to my holiday reading list!

I was there last September and was supposed to go to Barcelona but ended up with bad flu; so insurance means we are heading back! I loved Ani Capri, and can’t wait to see Positano x
