Makeup Holy Grails

I love experimenting with makeup but find it hard to find the perfect product. So through trial and error, I have found a few products that I keep coming back to again and again and thought I would share some!

These products are on the pricier side but in my experience, when it comes to makeup, spending a little bit more money for quality pays off. So as promised in my Makeup No-Goes, I’ve come up with a list of my all time favourite products!

Lip Cover (Overheated) | Nars

This formula has to be my favourite liquid lipstick of all time. It is not drying at all but has a beautiful matte finish and is such a lovely brown shade. I was devastated when I found out that this was a limited edition colour but I have faith in the other Nars liquid lipsticks!

The POREfessional Primer | Benefit Cosmetics

I have had a lot of trouble finding a good primer. I have tried so many from drug store to high end and they have all either done nothing for my skin or caused it to break out. That is why I have loved the POREfessional Primer. Not only does it help my makeup look flawless for longer, it feels so soft and velvety on the skin.

Naked 2 Basics | Urban Decay

This would have to be the best starter palette I own. The colours are easy to work with and perfect for a neutral look. I like to use this as a base for other colours or just by itself for a really natural eyeshadow look.

De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray | Urban Decay

I use this setting spray any time I wear makeup – whether it be just powder during the day or a full face at night. I find the finish of my makeup always looks better with this and definitely lasts a lot longer without getting oily.

Maestro Eraser | Giorgio Armarni

This concealer is fantastic for a little bit of brightening and coverage under the eyes. It is so easily blendable and light. I found that so many other concealers I tried were really thick and visible but the Maestro Eraser concealer perfectly covers any darkness, and you only need the smallest amount.

Rollerlash Mascara | Benefit Cosmetics

Finding the perfect mascara took me a long time to find. I have now been using the Rollerlash Mascara for the past 2 years and haven’t been able to find anything that comes close to it. Not only is it a perfectly dark black colour, it curls and lengthens the lashes as well! I can’t speak highly enough about this mascara!

Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation |Chanel

This foundation was an absolute lifesaver for me. I had gone through so many foundations that would make my skin oily and break out, weren’t the right shade, were too heavy – you name it. I came across the Vitalumiere Aqua foundation and thought I would give it a go and I wasn’t disappointed. It is really buildable and blends beautifully so you can have a light to high coverage look. It is water based so doesn’t add any extra oil to the face and on top of that, it smells beautiful.

Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow | Kiko Cosmetics

I bought a few of eyeshadow sticks from Kiko on sale when I was in Italy, knowing nothing about the brand. They are so highly pigmented, shimmery and incredibly easy to work with. I usually just put it on my lid and then blend another shadow in the crease. They will stay on all night without creasing or rubbing off and are very easy to get off. My only regret is that I didn’t buy more!

Let me know below what are some of your all time favourites?
