Do you love shopping but hate spending all that money? Here are some of my tips to keep up your shopping habits but shop smarter and save money!
Don’t shop just because it’s on sale
Shopping during sales might seem like a good idea at the time but it can leave you with a lot of items that you didn’t really need and just bought because it was a good price. A good thing to do is to have a look at your wardrobe before you tackle the sales and have a list of what you’re looking for. If you find something you needed on sale, great! You’ll end up with some great sale pieces with none of the buying regret.
Warehouse sales
If you love designer brands but just don’t have the money, check out warehouse sales! They are the best place to get new designer items at ridiculously discounted prices (I went to one where the clothes were 80% off!). Check out facebook events to find ones close to you.
Only buy with an event or purpose in mind
When you’re trying to save a bit of money, buying items only when you have an event or specific purpose for it helps. It stops you from buying something just because it looks pretty and consequently not wearing it because you don’t have anywhere to wear it! Buying with a purpose in mind means that you will definitely get use out of it and not just be constantly buying pieces that you don’t really need.
Student discounts
If you’re a student I recommend checking out myunidays. They have heaps of discounts in-store and online that I use like crazy. Some of my favourites they offer are for Princess Polly, ASOS, BNKR and Sephora. So stop paying full price and register!
Happy shopping!
